Can we be eco-minded & be stylish too?

We think so. But come see for yourself. There is a whole world out there that doesn’t include hemp & jute.
Can artisans around the world earn enough to support themselves & their family? Yes, Yes, Yes. What is fair-trade? It can be summed up as a trading partnership: “based on dialogue, transparency & respect, seeking greater equity in international trade & better trading conditions to & securing the rights of marginalized producers and workers”. Earth Alley is also very pleased to partner with a number of Baltimore artisans who will inspire & decorate your life.
And our commitment to the environment? Every day,1000s of pounds of perfectly good steel, fabric & rubber finds its way to our landfills. Earth Alley brings to you creations from artisans who take discardable material & make it better: reusing, recycling sometimes something called “up-cycling”.
You have to come & experience yourself. Wow, you can do that with this? is the reaction we hear on first visits here. Like unique, colorful bowls made in South Africa from recycled telephone wires, hand-painted fair-trade silk scarves from Hanoi or oil drums wall art from Haiti?
Visit Earth Alley or shop our online products linked to our home page to support these wonderful artisans & where your purchasing choices change lives.
There are many great resources to learn how to live more sustainably. One of our favorites is the Going Green Today website. Going Green Today teaches you how to go green.
